Choosing to use a homemade moisturizer for dry skin is the smartest choice a woman can make, because it’s very important to take proper care of our skin. Otherwise, you have to deal with the consequences: premature wrinkles, acne, blackheads, and so on.
My mother uses this moisturizer since forever, and she has the recipe from my grandma, because back in time you couldn’t find moisturizers around the corner, and my grandma decided to prepare her own.
Now, take it as you want, it could be in the genes or due to this magical moisturizer, my mother has a wrinkle-free complexion in her 50’s. Anyhow, it’s worth trying!
- 300 ml of almond oil
- 700 grams of beeswax
- 30 ml of coconut oil
- half a teaspoon of rosehip oil
- 1 green tea bag
How to prepare?
The first step is to clean perfectly the containers in which the cream will be prepared. Then the wax is combined with the oils and melted in Bain-Marie. Next step is to add the green tea powder in the mixture, and mix continuously. After homogenizing, the product is left in a steam bath until it melts well (about 15 minutes extra). Pour the mixture into a fine sieve, placed over a pot, and then blend the composition at medium speed. Allow the cream to harden a bit, and then pour it in small containers disinfected with rubbing alcohol.
