Check out my 3 favorite DIY hair masks:
1. Coconut Oil & Jojoba Oil Mask
Yes, it is that simple. These oils combined will make for a great hair mask you can use on your either wet or dry hair. Thus, section by section, apply and gently spread the coconut and jojoba oil mixture through your hair from scalp to tip. Then, make sure you wrap your hair in a warm towel and leave the mask on for 20 minutes. Simply rinse and wash your hair as you normally would. You will notice the difference from the first application.
2. Raw Honey & Olive Oil Mask
This is yet another easy mask you can do at home, simply by mixing these ingredients. The olive oil will nourish your hair while the honey will pull moisture to the scalp. It is a great hair mask that will get you rid of that itchy scalp!
Basically, you need to mix 1/2 cup raw honey with 1/4 cup olive oil. You could also heat the mixture so the ingredients get incorporated really well. However, make sure you use a double boiler for this. Then, simply apply the mask to your hair, massaging gently the scalp. Again, wrap your hair in a plastic bag for 30 minutes and then rinse and wash as usual.
3. Banana Avocado Mask
That’s another hair mask that will have great benefits for your itchy scalp. For example, bananas contain potassium, which will strengthen and repair your damaged hair taking care of the itchiness. Furthermore, the avocados will moisturize and nourish your scalp, also helping with dry ends.
Thus, in a blender, mix 1/2 of an avocado and 1 very ripe banana. Blend them together very well. Next, apply the creamy mixture onto your hair, leaving it on for 20 minutes with hair wrapped in a towel. Rinse and wash as usual.
