Home Remedies For Hip Bursitis Pain

The main cause of lower back pain and hip pain is hip bursitis. This condition causes pain and swelling in the hip area making your day miserable. And those experiencing such pain can actually pronounce about it. I actually heard my mother saying “this pain is killing me”!

So, a body can’t stand too many painkillers because they have side-effects and it will do more harm than good.
Although, my mom says she tried some natural remedies that turn in being very effecting when it comes to pain relief. And hip bursitis is included!

Bursitis is the irritation of the bursa, and bursa is the fluid-filled sack that protects the muscles, ligaments, tendons, and the bones that causes friction. And the most affected and inflamed bursa is near the heels, hips, shoulders, knees and elbows.

But, not anymore because the below home remedies will help you to get rid of bursitis pain.

1. Essential oils

You need:

– 1/4 cup olive oil
– 4-5 drops of chamomile, basil or rosemary oil

How to proceed?
1. Mix the above oils with the carrier oil.
2. Apply this on the affected area and massage for 1-2 minutes.
3. Leave the oil to act overnight.

Repeat this every night until the hip bursitis heals.

2. Heat or ice

You need:

– An ice pack
– A heat pack

How to proceed?
1. Apply the ice pack first on the swollen parts for about 10 minutes.
2. Now, place the heat pack on the same spot for 10 minutes.
3. Repeat the procedure for 5 minutes.
Use this remedy every time you need.

3. Apple Cider Vinegar

You need:

– 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
– 2 cups warm water
– A soft towel

How to proceed?
1. Dilute the ACV with water and dip the towel in this.
2. Wring out the excess water and wrap this towel around the affected area.
3. Leave it on for an hour or so.

Repeat this once every day.

4. Exercises for hip bursitis

Frequent exercising will help you to get rid of the pain, because you will build the muscular foundation around the hip area.

3. Lying Leg Circles
