Knees are complex joints, which, unfortunately, tend to hurt easily when they don’t cushion shocks. Although protected by liquids, ligaments and tendons, they often swell and become painful, especially after intense physical effort.
Knee pain can affect anyone, but in addition to regular analgesics, you can also try local natural remedies to reduce pain and inflammation.
Lots of athletes use the next ginger remedy in combination with Epsom salt compresses to ease knee pain, and it’s proven to be very pain-easing!
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- a spoon of essential ginger oil
Method of preparation:
Heat the olive oil and mix it with essential ginger oil.
How to apply?
First, make sure that the mixture isn’t too hot to be able applying it on the affected knee. Now massage gently, and let the skin to absorb the oil without rinsing.
After 1 hour, soak a cotton towel in Epsom salt water, squeeze it and apply it on the affected knee. Repeat this procedure every 5 minutes.
Repeat the above procedures for 3 days in a row.
Important: the Epsom water must be warm.
