If you don’t take proper care of your feet, especially during summer, they will have to suffer. Because of feet sweating, an unpleasant smell will arose from your feet or if you got infected with some sort of bacteria, the smell will be even worse. So, take proper care of your feet (rubbing your heels with a pumice stone and cutting your toenails) to prevent any smelly situation, and if you didn’t, then you can use the following remedies to get rid of smelly feet.
Wipe well between your toes after washing your feet or showering, and lightly massage the area to prevent moisture from becoming a place for possible infections.
Tea and apple cider vinegar for your feet
The tea resulting from boiling tea leaves can kill bacteria and to reduce sweating, if you hold your feet for 15 to 20 minutes to soften. You can use any tea.
Apple vinegar has the same effect. You need to mix 500 ml of vinegar with 200 ml of warm water then moisten some gauze pieces in this solution and apply them on your feet for 20 minutes. Let them dry naturally.
Use essential oils
Lavender oil is perfect to get rid of smelly feet. It annihilates bad smells and it also has antibacterial effect. You can rub your feet with four drops of lavender essential oil. Wash the socks by turning them on the other side, because this method will kill bacteria and dead cells will be removed.
Walk barefoot through the house.
Use antiperspirant on the feet, because antiperspirants contain chemicals that reduce sweating. You can apply them in the evening, after showering, on dry skin.
Keep your shoes dry
It is advisable to have two pairs of shoes for each season in order to change your footwear daily. If you don’t have a second pair of shoes, to prevent soles moisture, you can put crumpled newspapers inside to absorb the moisture overnight.
